Nova TV, a member of the United Group, has reached an agreement with UEFA and will broadcast matches of the Croatian national football team for the next six years, Dnevnik.hr reported.

Nova TV will broadcast qualifying matches for UEFA EURO 2024, qualifications for the FIFA World Cup 2026, qualifications for UEFA EURO 2028, as well as UEFA League of Nations matches 2022, 2024, and 2026.

In addition, football fans in the Nova TV program will be able to watch all the friendly matches of the Croatian national football team.

“We are proud to continue broadcasting the most exciting sports content on Nova TV. It is our honor and responsibility to broadcast the matches of the Croatian national football team, but also our responsibility to present the content to the viewers in the best possible way. Nova TV, as the strongest multimedia platform, will continue to create additional value, current and attractive content for all viewers of the national team in the next six years through the synergy of television and digital channels,” said Dražen Mavrić, President of the Management Board of Nova TV.

The commentators in the studio will be renowned football professionals Robert Jarni and Aljoša Vojnović. The editor of the project is Saša Lugonjić.

Sport Klub, also owned by United Group, had the rights to broadcast UEFA’s matches from 2018, but the TV rights to the final Euro tournament, which was postponed due to the coronavirus, were later resold to Croatian Television.

Thus, the speculations that the TV rights will be sold to Telecom Serbia, ie Arena Sport, were stopped.
