Today and tomorrow in Ulcinj, the Palace of Venice hosts the media conference Calling the Other Side: Local media and diaspora engagement in the Western Balkans.

The conference is part of the Media for All project, funded by the UK Government and implemented by the British Council, the Balkan Investigative Reporting Network (BIRN), the Thomson Foundation, and INTRAC.

The conference aims to present to the participants the still unexplored and uncommitted resource of the diaspora in media development. Namely, as part of the Media for All project, a pilot study was conducted in 2020 among the Albanian diaspora, which identified several possibilities that will be discussed at the conference.
