on preparation for WRC-23Lars Backlund, Secretary General, Broadcast Networks Europe (BNE)Activities to prepare for WRC-23 are currently ramping up with preparatory studies by ITU, CEPT, RSPG and The European Commission. Of special interest for the broadcast sector is the WRC-23 Agenda Item 1.5 which will review the spectrum use of the frequency band 470-960 MHz in Region 1. The Broadcasters, the Broadcast Network Operators, the Cultural and Content Creation Sector, the Mobile Sector and Telcos are all stakeholders with strong interests in the future use of the UHF band. The presentation will provide an overview of the rather complex process of preparing for WRC-23 and some of the main topics currently being discussed and studied.
