Serbia- Qui Radio Fiume – This is Radio Rijeka – on this day in 1945, from Štangerova ulica no. 9 in Volosko, these words were spoken for the first time by speakers Barbarina Ožegović in Croatian and Ida Modica Milković in Italian. On the AM frequency, the radio station was intended for part of Liburnia and nearby villages, towns and cities along the Kvarner Bay.
- On this day in 1978, the broadcasting of Radio Donji Vakuf began as a local branch of Radio Sarajevo. The program is broadcasted via an FM transmitter on the frequency 88 MHz.
- On this day in 1994, Pink TV was founded as the first television in Serbia whose program scheme consisted exclusively of entertainment content. At the beginning, attention was guided towards series and films of foreign production and domestic entertainment shows, and after the year 2000, they turned to the production of domestic TV series, as well as the creation of an newsroom. It is owned by Željko Mitrović.
- Under the slogan Otkriva sve – pokriva sve (Reveals everything – covers everything), on this day in 1996, the daily newspaper BLIC started with an initial circulation of 50,000 copies and a price of 1 dinar. The paper was founded by Peter Kelbel and Aleksandar Lupšić. In October 2004, the paper became the property of Ringier AG. During the opposition protests in Serbia in 1996, which broke out due to the annulment of the second round of local elections, Blic was the only daily newspaper that wrote about these events. Traditional dailies (Politika, Većernje Novosti, Borba and others) largely ignored protests which were organized by the opposing parties DS and SPO. During that period, there was a drastic increase in the circulation of the paper, which at one point grew to 250,000 copies.
- On this day in 2003, on the island of Murter, at 8.30 am, the broadcasting of the Otočni radio Kornati, on the frequency 93.2 MHz, began. The initiators of the radio were Natalija Radovčić, President of the Management Board of Vodičanka and Ivo Marušić, Mayor of Murter, while Diana Ferić was the director and editor-in-chief.
