• On this day in 1933, Dr. Mihailo Bjelica, a journalist, chronicler, and professor of journalism, was born in Vrbica near Nikšić. He graduated in literature and received his doctorate from the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade on the topic of Political Press in Serbia 1834-1872. He started working as a journalist in 1960 as an associate of the Novi Sad weekly Tribina. From 1962, he worked at the Yugoslav Institute of Journalism, first as an associate and editor, and then as the head of the scientific research sector, editor-in-chief of the journal Novinarstvo, scientific advisor and director of the Institute. He died in Belgrade on April 23, 2007.

 

  • In February 1993, a decision was made to establish a local radio station in Rama. The Office for Social Activities has prepared everything necessary for the air to be heard on this day in 1993: You are listening to Croatian Radio – Radio Station Rama. It was the first radio jingle recorded by my colleague Tihomir Begić, a journalist from Radio Posušje. From then until today, various contents have been played on the frequency 88.8 MHz. Radio also published its monograph in 2013 under the name Radio Rama-twenty years with you.

 

  • On this day, the first private electronic media in Montenegro – Elmag Radio – Media Gate of Montenegro started broadcasting in Podgorica. The first owner and initiator of this media was Gojko Mitrović, who died suddenly in 2015. The radio continued its work within the group Oki air broadcasting Ltd. owned by Orhan Hodžić.
