Born in 1986 in Gjilan, Kosovo, to a family of Turkish and Albanian parents. He found his love for TV and media in early years when spending hours in front of the television and reading newspapers and magazines. This prompted him to start writing for newspapers at age of 17 – weekly Turkish ‘Yeni Donem’, weekly sport Albanian – Kosova Sport, and renowned monthly satellite magazine in Serbian, ‘Satelit TV’.
A few years later, he started his own TV&Movies blog in Albanian, becoming a pioneer in this field in Kosovo, and among most renowned film and TV critics. His articles appeared on various media outlets, and he made appearances in national televisions, and many regional and local media outlets.
In 2012, he co-founded a network of movies and TV enthusiasts ‘Maniakat’ that expanded into other fields, and today is a network of more than half a million of Albanian Facebook users.
He has also collaborated with many distribution agencies of channels and programming for the territory of Kosovo. For five years he’s been the editor of Kujtesa’s TV magazine, while working as a Social Media Content Creator for Kujtesa, and later for Orange Net, and now with Telkos, where also is responsible for acquiring content for the cable operator and TV channel.
Luan has studied MBA, taught English in the past, and translated more than a dozen of books to Albanian. As a huge sports fan, he continues to write regular columns regarding sports, and is an active member of the society by organizing and helping in organizing and supporting various charitable events throughout Kosovo.
