According to the research conducted by the Agency for Audio and Audiovisual media (AAVMU), in the first quarter of 2018, 93.3% of Macedonians was watching television, and only 36.69 percent of them listened to the radio. In the telephone research about the range of radio stations and the share of the audience in the viewership of television stations participated 2400 respondents of different age groups, selected in a random pattern. The research showed that only 6.7 percent of the respondents did not watch TV in the last week prior to the interviewing, which makes TV the most influential media in the Republic of Macedonia. By gender, women watched more television than men, so 94.4 percent of women watched at least one program in the observed period. The research showed that 95.4 percent of respondents in the age group between 50 and 60 years regularly ‘sat’ in front of the TV.
