Back in 1991, Patrick Zuchowicki-Jucaud started the DISCOP TV market in Warsaw, intended for the poorer countries of Eastern Europe, to which he brought sellers of television programs from rich Western countries, who were more willing to lower the price of TV programs at that market. Many of those who visited this market do not even know that the name DISCOP is an abbreviation of the word “DisCounted Program Market,” or the market of programs at discount prices. Just two years later, in 1993, DISCOP moved to Budapest.
