MontenegroI waited for a while to see who would defend our colleague Veseljko Koprivica, to whom the editor-in-chief of the nominally independent “Monitor” refused to publish an interview without explanation. I was especially waiting to see if any of the on-duty defenders of journalistic rights would come forward and talk about the treatment of a man who had been attacked by various powerful people for years, who at some point did not like what he was writing about and how he was writing. It was an opportunity to talk about journalistic freedoms on a concrete example, but also about the real and feigned independence of the media, of course not only in Montenegro. But none talked about that.
