For the fourth year in a row, under the name MEDIA AND THE STATE, we are publishing an exclusive series of 27 articles with an analysis of the income of all Croatian media from the state budget for 2022. We would like to emphasize that the meaning of our analysis is not the need for the media, which are already struggling to do business, to “be nailed to the pillar of shame”, but to transparently provide information about how much money each media received for certain services it performed for state ministries, agencies, offices and courts. Everyone is free to assess whether the received money influenced the reporting of that media. Today we are analyzing data on the income of publishers of daily newspapers in comparison for 2022 and 2021.
