The Independent Media Empowerment Programme (IMEP) in Bihać organized a workshop on public journalism. The topic of the seminar that was staged in the small room of the hotel Rekić was: the model of citizens – journalists, creation, and publishing of content on IMEP.ba, and the presentation of New Voices subventions.
Almir Čehajić Batko and Rubina Čengić discussed the projects; the most was talked about journalism, the difference between reporting and writing on social networks, but also on topics that are firmly related to the local community.
Otherwise, the IMEP represents a five-year USAID programme that supports media independence of media and freedom of expression in BiH. Moreover, it will work on strengthening the sustainability of the media, raising the quality of media content, building journalists ‘ competences, providing legal support to media and journalists, as well as by active inclusion of citizens in the media space.
